Unpeople and Frozemode
Project type
Photography
Date
10th September 2025
Location
Camden Underworld, London, England
This project documents the high-intensity performances of Unpeople and Frozemode at London’s iconic Underworld Camden, capturing the raw energy and subterranean grit of the city’s alternative scene. Given the venue’s challenging low-light environment and intimate proximity, the shoot required a technical approach focused on rapid focus acquisition and high dynamic range. Utilizing a Fujifilm X-H2, I was able to balance wide-angle atmospheric shots with compressed, emotive close-ups. The Fujifilm 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 GM and 55-200mm f/3.5-4.8 provided the necessary versatility for fast-paced movement whilst maintaining the opportunity to shoot wide angles or close-ups of the performers , while the Fujifilm 50mm f/2 was employed to maintain clarity and depth during the most dimly lit segments of the set. The resulting imagery serves as a visual narrative of the transition from Frozemode’s lyrical energy to Unpeople’s explosive headline performance, emphasizing the connection between the artists and the crowd.
